The NeoStar greets the USS Ronald Reagan on it's Homeporting Ceremony
Naval Air Station North Island, CA, July 23, 2004 - The NeoStar along with the former first lady Nancy Reagan, a myriad of dignitaries and even more spectators gathered around to greet and welcome the Navy's newest aircraft carrier, the USS Ronald Reagan, as it sailed to it's home port of San Diego. The NeoStar was used to broadcast live video feed of the event, showing close-ups among other things in full color LED video display. The big screen LED was necessary to show the spectators located far from the event to get a much closer look at the action going on at the front. NeoStar not only able to display the event as it progressed in full color, giant screen style, but it's built in audio system kept the audience in the loop of what was being said. It's like watching the whole event in a movie theater only outdoors in bright daylight. The LED video display technology used on the NeoStar allows for brilliant colors and wide-angle viewing on the screen even under direct sunlight. Overall, having an LED big screen at an event like this definitely added to the success of the festivities.
